Course content
|
The course focuses on teaching learners with special educational needs. The main topics covered during the course are as follows: Teaching English to learners with SEN. Symptoms of learners with SEN (types of errors, conduct, social problems). The main categories of pupils with SEN ? dyslexia and dysgraphia, specially-impaired learners. Individual plan. Modifications of teaching materials and the design of specific exercises suitable for SEN learners. Assessing and evaluating learners with SEN.

Students are required to do the following to obtain a credit: Either to submit a set of 3-5 detailed lesson plans including the materials specifically modified for SEN learners or give a 15-minute presentation of 2 short activities suitable for SEN learners.
