Course content
|
The course focuses on teaching language skills and systems of language, integrating fluency and accuracy work, and on correction of errors, language games. The main topics covered during the course are as follows: - Teaching listening. - Teaching reading. - Teaching writing. - Teaching speaking. - Integrating skill work. - Fluency errors and compensation strategies. - Teaching grammar. - Teaching vocabulary. - Teaching pronunciation. - Teaching spelling. - Correcting errors in accuracy work. - Teaching translation. - Principles of using Portfolio and ICT in teaching English.

Learning outcomes
|
To be able to teach language skills and systems in English to (primary and) lower-secondary learners. To apply project work, CLIL. To use portfolio apart from other forms of (self-)assessment of learners. To understand language error management.
