Course content
Topics that the teacher will cover in the first half of the semester: - Use of homework in ELT, students with specific educational needs in ELT - Teacher's roles in teaching and learning, student's roles in teaching and learning - Principles of communicative approach in language teaching - Cross-curricular relations and ELT, CLIL method - CLIL and its use in teaching at lower-secondary level

Learning outcomes
Upon the completion of this follow-up course to AJS1@, students will be able to characterize the typical roles of teacher and students during an English lesson, define the principles of the communicative approach to foreign language teaching and explain the importance of cross-curricular relationships, describe and explain the relevance of the CLIL method for teaching at the lower-secondary school level and explain the basic principles of working with different pupils in foreign language lessons.

Requirements for "AJS2@: -100% of attendance (contact), camera on, microphone on if needed (online) - be present for the whole seminar, be active - work in pairs according to the schedule on Moodle and bring a CLIL activity (15 minutes per pair) to the next seminars (details specified on Moodle or other platform according to the teacher) Requirements for students with ISP: min. 30% attendance, other requirements as agreed with the teacher (unless otherwise stated, remain the same)
