Course content
The grammar seminar is devoted to a more general view of, for example, English modality, the expression of temporal dimensions in English, etc., with a systematic comparison with grammatical categories in Czech. It is based on a formal-functional description of the language, but is practically oriented...

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: " comprehensively summarize and apply the grammatical knowledge acquired so far based on professional terminology, " apply typological differences between English and Czech to their own translations of stylistically diverse texts, " demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of English grammar in individual presentations (possibly in comparison with English), " interpret possible culture-specific differences between English and Czech in the analysis of practical examples.
