Course content
Learner and teacher roles in the classroom, Benefits of and techniques for putting learners into pairs and groups, Creating a positive classroom atmosphere, Dealing with discipline problems, Dealing with dominant learners, Encouraging less confident learners, Motivating learners of all abilities, Promoting effective learner cooperation.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to: - discuss pros and cons of pair and group work, - name and select appropriate ways of putting learners into pairs and groups, - select appropriate ways of creating a positive classroom atmosphere and promoting effective learner cooperation, - anticipate and deal with discipline problems, - select appropriate ways of dealing with dominant or less confident learners, - use appropriate ways of motivating learners of all abilities.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Seminar Work

- at least 80% attendance of the lessons (70% for individual study plan students), - active participation in the seminars, - completion of all class-work tasks. More specific information in Moodle, MS Teams or another platform according to the teacher. Requirements for students with ISP: min. 30% attendance, other requirements as agreed with the teacher (unless otherwise stated, remain the same)
