Course content
Realism and Naturalism. Women´s literature. From Imagism to postmodernism (poetry of 20th centry). Harlem Renaissance. Lost generation.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Projection (static, dynamic), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
This course focuses on the American writers of the 20th century. Seminars examine the development of American literature during this period. Students explore significant novels, plays and poems and they learn how to analyze the works. By the end of the course, students should be familiar with different literary periods, the writers most associated with them and with the aims of a particular movement or school of thought.
