These findings are taken from recent studies published by recognized firms such as McKinsey, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Gartner, etc. Also the case studies used in the course are consistently upgraded and are used for analyses. The analyses and discussions are an important part of the educational process. The innovation of the subject was established within a project CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0138 "Modularization of Managerial and Psychological Education at Palacky University in Olomouc through Innovating and Linking Economic and Psychological Study Programs."

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to prepare students, future knowledge workers, for cooperation in intercultural/multicultural teams. An intercultural manager is responsible for clear communication between colleagues, clients and other stakeholders. This communication must be free of influence of different cultures and of consequently resulting misunderstanding. Thus, managers must have certain competences and capabilities including: intercultural awareness, flexibility, ability to take advantage of the diversity of cultures and patience. Similar capabilities must have also every team member. The course therefore prepares students for a role of a team member as well as a leader of an intercultural/multicultural team.
Professional knowledge: Student applies knowledge of the fact that a key source of the development is knowledge, respectively human capital. Student describes the differences between European, American and Asian business culture Student cooperates and communicates in intercultural / multicultural teams Professional skills: Student takes into account cultural differences among members of different geographical areas during business and personal meetings with the representatives of different cultures, respectively in international working groups General skills: Student has higher degree of cultural/intercultural intelligence thanks to the solving of case studies and team discussions about the solutions
Prerequisites
Managerial courses completion is recommended.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Seminar Work

The course is completed by colloquium. To gain the colloquium active participation in classes and submitting of the semester work by deadline is required.
