Learning outcomes
This is an experimental course conducted in collaboration with our partner university, the University of Nebraska Kearney, Nebraska, USA (UNK). The language of instruction for this course is English. As part of the course, students will participate in joint workshop-based learning together with students from the partner university in the USA. This learning experience will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining online instruction and an in-person meeting with American students and instructors (see the course schedule for details). During the joint sessions, students from UP and UNK will collaborate on developing a marketing plan for real client projects in the Czech Republic. At the end of the course, the finalized marketing plans will be presented to the clients as part of a final presentation. The course will consist of both in-person and virtual components. The joint sessions will take place on Zoom. The course also includes an in-person component, which will be held at UP with the participation of students and instructors from the partner university in the USA. The in-person session will take place on March 17, 2025.

Prerequisites
The course will be taught in a hybrid format (a combination of online and in-person instruction) in pre-scheduled blocks.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student

Level of English English sufficient for academic interaction with partners from the USA. Basic knowledge of marketing. Active participation and completion of assigned tasks (initial analysis of the marketing environment of collaborating clients, presentation of findings). A key requirement for completing the course is active participation, fulfillment of assigned tasks, and prior notification of absence (via email to the instructor). For specific questions regarding course organization, feel free to contact the instructor (D. Kosina, david.kosina@upol.cz). These requirements are set in consideration of the experimental nature of the course, which is based on interaction between UP and UNK students. This principle is also a key added value of the course, as UP students have a unique opportunity to experience a course that is part of an American partner program accredited by the prestigious AACSB. Similarly, UNK students benefit from the international nature of the course and interaction with UP students.
