Learning outcomes
|
The course is mainly focused on the Czech tourism and its specifics. Students in the course learn the basic concepts of traveling, get to know the specification of the Czech tourism market. Students get to know basic theory of economy in tourism, Tourism Satellite Accounts and other statistics, will learn about Czech support organizations for tourism and specifics of each area of tourism sector. The output of the course is seminary work at the chosen topic, which will be presented by each student in the last lecture.

Basic economic overview. Exclusive of KAE/CR1 and KAE/CR2.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam, Student performance, Seminar Work
In the beginning of the course the students will be given a semester work on selected topics of tourism. The course ends with a colloquium. For successful completion of the test, student must obtain at least 75% of the possible points. The granting of colloquium is also subject to active participation in lectures and handing essay in the right date (will be determined at the first class). If the student fails in any part of the requirements for completion of the course, he will work up an appropriate replacement work. They are allowed two absences in the classroom. The study includes the use of e-learning environment Moodle. Students in Moodle logs as directed by the www.kae.cz Grading scale: A 91-100 B 82-90 C 73-81 D 64-72 E 55-63
