Course content
|
1. The concept of a business enterprise, establishment, formation and development of the company. Typology, morphology and developmental stages of the business. Analysis of business related events business creation, merging companies and entrepreneurs. 2. Basic categories of effectiveness of the company and its ethical dimension. A list of indicators for calculations of economic efficiency, structure, content, informative ability and use in business practice. 3. The criteria to optimize the asset and capital structure of the company. long-term and current assets, its structure and use. Capital structure, the use of tax Effect and optimization. 4. Organizational construction of business. The need to organize, structure formation and its changes, resembles the structure and the factors that influence them. 5. Fundamentals of corporate accountancy functional planning in business costs, revenues and results of operations. Financial accounting and reporting. 6. Procurement activities, production activities, sales activity as the main function of the business. Other activities assurance for the fulfillment of the economic functions of the company: investment activities, personal activities, service activities, management and administrative activities. 7. Investment and innovation processes. Comparison of investment options, methods investment evaluation. The importance of innovation in business, their characteristics and classification. 8. Business modeling and the use of information technology. Business statistics and analyzes. Process control and simulation activities, examples of new methods and approaches. 9. Financial aspects in the development of business strategy in terms of activities covered. The meaning and use of financial analysis, strategic business management. 10. Specific economy, their characteristics, traits and general features. Specifics of manufacturing companies and service providers, enterprises in agriculture, health, tourism and banking. Specifics of small and medium-sized enterprises and non-profit organizations.

Learning outcomes
|
The main aim is to introduce the basic characteristics of the business life curves and possible types and forms of enterprises in the Czech Republic. One part is based on contemporary issues and networking, clustering, creation of new business forms, but also the closure of business. There is examined processes of goals, making plans, implementation features, characterized by environmental influence on its management. A separate part is dedicated to management tools of economic analysis, which are used to evaluate the economic activity of the enterprise. The base consists of knowledge of the concepts and their contents: the costs and revenues, prices of business inputs and outputs, efficiency, tying the fundamental factors in the business, assets, capital, which is the basis for understanding business activities. Economics is not just a theoretical discipline, but it is practical discipline. Entrepreneurs, managers and economists are given guidance on how to lead their business to operate efficiently and economically. The aim is to increase the level of economic education, knowledge, as well as methodological and practical skills in the field of business practice. Follow-up exercises will be in the form of case studies and calculations of examples from the business practice.

Student defines peculiarities and characteristics of specific economies. 4. Student enumerates and describes the activities necessary to preserve the efficient functioning of the business.

Prerequisites

There are no special conditions set. It is recommended the course KAE/MI and KAE/MA.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Systematic Observation of Student
The course is completed with the oral exam. For successful completion of the course is needed successful completation of the test. Student must obtain at least 60% of the possible points. The granting of credits is also subject to active participation in lessons. They are allowed two absences in the classroom.
