Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with key terms and institutes of the Law of Business, the basis source of business law and the Law of Business Associations provisions. The interpretation of business associations will be focused on legal and property characterization of individual business associations, its features, founding, formation, cancellation and termination. It will be referred to the special provision of each type of business association with the focus on rights and duties of associates.
Professional knowledge: Students acquire basic professional knowledge about the private law; more precisely about its key regulations. Professional skills: Students will be able to work with the regulations of the private law, to look up the relevant provisions and to put them in connections. General competences: Students will be well informed about the new Civil Code and the Law of Business Associations. This will multiply their opportunities to find an employment.
Prerequisites
To attend Business Law is necessary to complete Basis of private law.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

There will be examples and model situations connected to the topics discussed in the lectures. Every student will be obligated to prepare analyses of two examples in each semester and present their opinions in class. The course is terminated in summer semester with en exam. The final assessment of the student will be in a written form (test) with predetermined criteria. Students are allowed to be absent for two times in each semester, otherwise the student will be required to write an seminar paper on an assigned topic.
