Learning outcomes
The course of Economics and Entrepreneurship in the European Union focuses on the specificities of entrepreneurship in the single European market in the context of particular freedoms of the single market and selected common policies affecting business.  The aim of the course is to provide students with basic orientation in the European business environment and the theoretical and practical knowledge of the principles of its functioning and regulation and possibilities of support of entrepreneurship from European sources.
After successful completion of the course student: - understands the basic parameters of the European economy and the interrelationships between its subjects, - focuses on the European business environment and the functioning of the EU's economic mechanism, - understand the basic principles of the functioning of the European market in the context of the freedoms of movement of persons, goods, services, capital, and knowledge and selected common policies, - understands the motives of entry into the European market and defines the possible forms of entry into this market, - understand the correspondence of business processes in relation to the functioning of entities in the single market and acquire basic business principles for shaping activities in this market.
Prerequisites
Prerequisites for participation in the course are a basic orientation in the principles of functioning of the European Union and the process of European economic integration and knowledge of basic terms related to microeconomics, macroeconomics, entrepreneurship, enterprise economics and general knowledge of European geography.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Dialog, Systematic Observation of Student, Seminar Work, Written exam

The course is completed with passing a written credit test. To pass a test, student must obtain at least 75% of possible points. Regular attendance (max. 2 absences are allowed) and the defense of final project are required.
