Learning outcomes
|
The course is a follow-up to the previous course of Banking 1. The subject of the course is the main commercial activities at present - active, passive and neutral banking transactions. For every branch of banking business, special attention is paid to addressing the impact of banking transactions on the economy of households, businesses and the economic policy of the state in general. The subject of the course are also the specifics of the banking business focusing on banking risks with the possibility of their prevention.
The student is well oriented in all essential types of bank business. It is able to compare and consider individual active and passive banking transactions, their benefits and risks, and to derive the right choice and the basis from these comparisons. It will also gain insight into neutral banking services, payments and intermediation operations. The student is able to analyze the basic offer of specialized products of specialized banks focusing on their main characteristics, advantages, disadvantages and risks. All the gained knowledge can practically apply to the economy and behavior of consumers, companies and the state. The student is also oriented in the current situation on the banking market and product offer of commercial banks in the Czech Republic and the EU.
