Course content
The course provides students with practical English skills to communicate effectively and express themselves with accuracy and fluency. They should improve their skills in reading, listening, writing and speaking, as well as develop a range of vocabulary (idioms, phrasal verbs, collocations) and accuracy in grammar. A wide range of self-study material is available to students. E-learning materials enable students not only to revise but also improve their abilities. Learning outcomes
The course provides students with practical English skills to communicate effectively, express themselves with accuracy and fluency. They should improve their skills in reading, listening, writing and speaking, as well as develop a range of vocabulary and accuracy in grammar. The language level is C1 Plus. The course will be based on the textbook English File Advanced plus and Cambridge English: Advanced - Past Tests. Additional materials available at www.moodle.upol. The aim of this course is to develop and practice all five skills, i.e., Reading, Listening, Speaking, Use of English and Writing, at the C1 Plus level. Students gain an in-depth knowledge of English. Students master an advanced (plus) level of English with confidence.

Assessment methods and criteria
Essay, Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Written exam

80% attendance at lessons, active participation, completion of all classroom tasks and assignments [continuous assessment; obligatory even if the students was not present in class], passing the final credit test (pass mark approx. 70%). Speaking and writing will be part of the continuous assessment, students must pass two listening tests during the semester.
