Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquire and acquire the necessary knowledge and skills needed to work with a specialized text in accordance with the citation standards used at the Faculty of Physical Culture of Palacký University Olomouc (FTK UP), i.e. APA style. Students will be able to differentiate between research methods used to solve research problems in biomedical branches and to propose adequate methods in the design of a research project in the framework of their final thesis. On the basis of the knowledge presented in the course and in accordance with the design of the research plan jointly compiled during the course, students will prepare and defend a research project of their diploma thesis.
It is expected that after passing the course students will know: 1) How to work out a research project. 2) What is the difference between quantitative and qualitative research. 3) How to make a presentation of research. 4) How to write an academic paper using APA style.

Prerequisites
|
Student is able to work in Microsoft Office software. The student knows basic work in text editor. The student is capable of creative and critical thinking.
