Learning outcomes
This subject will be an introduction to scientific work. The students will gain an acquaintance with the basic principles of writing scientific publications, evaluating scientific outputs and developing ethical principles of scientific work. The course will include basic orientation in scholarly databases (WoS, Scopus, Erich), the use of auxiliary software for writing scholarly texts (for example, EndNote), introduction to basic statistical methods and interpretation of results and gaining an acquaintance with software for analysis of data (SPSS). There will also be an introduction to writing scholarly grants. Outline: Selected files, collecting data, ethics of publishing, research in scientific databases, statistical treatment of data, structuring a scholarly article, writing scientific grants
