The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the principles of economics and management in the areas of healthcare, that is with the current theoretical and practical knowledge in the subject field. Brief outline of the subject: Introduction to economics and management in healthcare, basic principles, health and healthcare as economic goods, health policy, legal aspects of healthcare, basic health systems and their comparison, financial analysis in healthcare - demand, supply, production, financing healthcare - budgeting and allocation of resources; history and principles of insurance, principles and methods of economic evaluation in healthcare, management and marketing in healthcare.
