The subject introduces the issue of relationship links, the quality of which - in particular relationship links to the primary relation persons (parents, caregivers) in early childhood - significantly co-determines resiliency or, in contrast, vulnerability to mental and psychosomatic disorders and an unhealthy lifestyle. A significant risk factor is mental and psychosomatic trauma, particularly in terms of relationship links (poor treatment). This is a truly complicated issue, which can be understood best at present both theoretically and practically when taking into account biopsychosocial models of health and illness.
