Course content |
Crisis communication. Principles of assertive behaviour. Interview with clients of different age groups. Ability to communicate with clients with impaired sight and hearing, mentally handicapped, client with limited ability to move. Calming down of an aggressive client.Communication with anxious clients, with clients suffering from acute stress reaction, with clients experiencing bereavement. The main emphasis is put on practical training.

Learning outcomes |
The subject is designed as theoretical and practical. The students learn and obtain skills necessary in creating a contact and trust of their client/patient as well as effective and quality care of their individual needs. Students are trained in skills of appropriate communication with clients, their families, colleagues and institutions.
Students learn principles of communication in individual levels of social relations. They can act and behave as professionals. They can understand verbal and non-verbal expression of their clients and clients´ relatives and communicate with them and react appropriately. |
