* The subject matter of psychology, the position of psychology within the system of social sciences, theories of the psyche, biological and social determinants of the psyche, and an introduction to the history of psychology. * Personality: structure and functioning. * Cognitive processes. * Emotions. * Motivation. * Introduction to developmental psychology: periodization and major theoretical approaches; general characteristics of developmental stages from the prenatal period to old age; physical, cognitive, and emotional development; and socialization. * Prenatal, neonatal, infancy, toddlerhood, and preschool period. * School age: middle childhood and adolescence (puberty). * Adolescence, adulthood, and old age.

Learning outcomes
|
General and Developmental Psychology for the Radiology Assistant programme introduces students to the fundamental concepts of psychology, psychological processes, and the history of psychology. The course focuses on cognitive processes, motivation, and emotions in the context of healthcare. It also covers developmental psychology, providing an overview of the psychological characteristics and developmental principles of the different stages of human life, from birth to old age.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be familiar with the fundamental concepts of psychology, understand the basic psychological processes and their developmental aspects, and be able to apply this knowledge in clinical practice.
