Course content
The workshop covers the following topics: - Revision of human anatomy, GIT - Positioning - Taking patient's history before a procedure - Taking an x-ray of hand, foot, spine or chest - Fluoroscopy - Personal protective equipment The workshop includes a one-day visit of Austrian students in Olomouc and vice versa.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to bring together students from Bachelor and Masters programmes of radiology technology from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic, and Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt, Austria, in order to improve and practise specialised professional communication skills in the area of radiography and radiology methods in English. They will see their profession and study environment in a wider, Czech-Austrian, context and will gain a different perspective on their own studies, career options, and their professional competence in a foreign language.
After completing the course, students will deepen their knowledge in selected thematic areas, improve their communication skills in English and get to know the situation of radiology assistants in the partner institution.
Prerequisites
Minimal English language ability at level B1.
