Learning outcomes
|
The subject is conceived as both theoretical and practical. It focuses on the psychology of patients. It aims to better knowing of the patient, understanding his or her needs and the problems caused by the illness. It develops knowledge of mental hygiene, prevention of burnout syndrome, coping strategies, telling the diagnosis, iatropathogenesis, etc. It acquaints with the psychological issue of the personality of patient and health worker.
On completion of the course students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in clinical practice. They will understand psychological risks associated with hospital setting; they will be able to identify and satisfy the needs of their clients and they will be able to implement the holistic approach in their practice.
