Learning outcomes
|
Students should be able to communicate in the field of midwifery, use correctly the terms and phrases. The aim is to further develop language competencies within the European framework of referebce for languages B1-B2. Students should be able to study English texts, fully comprehend them and be able to translate the texts into Czech. Language competencies focus on the effective communication with a patient, client, their family, colleagues and other medical staff.
Competencies acquired: ability to use the language in communication with patients/clients and colleagues, ability to read and comprehend scientific texts.

Prerequisites

Competency in English at level B1 CERF.
HUM/IPC03 and HUM/IPC01 and HUM/IPC03

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Written exam
80% attendance, active participation in seminars, home preparation for classes, completing assigned tasks, final exam.
