Course content

Topics: 1. Administering medication, types and forms of medication 2. First aid, accidents and emergencies 3. Symptoms, diseases and injuries; wound care 4. Monitoring the patient, vital signs, observations The seminar consists of 21 hours of direct teaching and 19 hours of self-study and preparation. Total number of hours is 40.

Learning outcomes
|
Students develop their general English competency. They expand their knowledge of basic healthcare terminology, with focus on Pediatric Nursing. They acquire a level of healthcare English necessary for their profession, with focus on communication with patietns.

Competence in English at least at the CEFR reference level A2/B1 - pre-intermediate.

|
Written exam
Attendance at least 80%, active participation in classes and completing assigned tasks. Final credit test.
