Topics: 1) Hygiene 2) Nutrition and lifestyle 3) Mental health nursing 4) Pediatric care, neonatal care The seminar consists of 14 hours of direct teaching and 16 hours of self-study and preparation. The total number of hours is 30.

Learning outcomes
|
Developing knowledge of general healthcare English; reviewing grammar structures with focus on field-specific language; developing communication skills in English with patients/clients in pediatric nursing; establishing a baseline for further use of English in professional practice and in communication with patients.

Prerequisites
|
English proficiency at least B1. Completion of courses HUM/DSA03 and HUM/DSB03.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Written exam
Attendance at least 80%, active participation in classes and completing assigned tasks. Final oral exam.
