Topics: 1. Human body, body systems 2. Hospital, wards, healthcare professions 3. Medical instruments and equipment 3. Admission, taking history, patient record 4. Talking about pain, pain relief The seminar consists of 21 hours of direct teaching and 22 hours of self-study and preparation. Total number of hours is 43.

Learning outcomes
|
Students develop their general English competency. They expand their knowledge of basic healthcare terminology, with focus on Pediatric Nursing. They acquire a level of healthcare English necessary for their profession, with focus on communication with patietns.

Competence in English at least at the CEFR reference level A2/B1 - pre-intermediate.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam
Attendance at least 80%, active participation in classes and completing assigned tasks. Final credit test.
