The course will take place in two parts. In the first part, students will receive basic information about volunteering, the rights and responsibilities of a volunteer, and the specifics of volunteering with seniors. They will also become familiar with specific volunteer opportunities focused on activating seniors in a retirement home. The goal of the second part will be to individually or in groups reflect on the volunteer experience and its benefits for both professional and personal growth. Between the learning blocks, there will be 30 hours of volunteer work focused on activation activities for seniors under the guidance of the activation workers of the relevant facility. Voluntary activities will be implemented according to the schedule agreed with the facility.
Based on their volunteer work in a retirement home, students will learn to apply knowledge in the field of senior activation and recognize the benefits of volunteering for both the seniors and their own personal and professional growth.
