1.Introduction to the problem, division of aids into 17 subgroups, acquaintance with VZP dial, prescription and approval of aids. 2.Medical devices used at the time of hospitalization. Prosthetics. Orthotics. Calceotics. 3.Medical devices with a focus on the disabled after termination of hospitalization. 4.Compensation aids for locomotion and self-sufficiency. Barrier free housing.

The course Medical devices in medical rehabilitation deals with the issue of medical aids that contribute to the improvement or stabilization of the state of health or prevent its deterioration, compensate or mitigate the consequences of disability, replace the lost function, modify anatomical structures or physiological processes. The course deals mainly with aids in the field of orthotics, prosthetics, epithetics, adjuvaticst and calceotics.
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with a wide range of various aids used in rehabilitation, collectively called medical devices.
