1.Market economy and provision of medical supplies. 2.The system of medical institutions and facilities in the country. 3.Healthcare institution as a company. 4.Economy of the healthcare institution. 5.The roles and functions of health care managers. 6.Human resources management in health care institutions. 7.Labour market and health care. 8.The role of the state in the provision of healthcare needs in the Czech Republic. The total hours for the course is 54, of which in-person classes 30 and home-prep classes 24.

Learning outcomes
|
The course of Health care management delivers knowledge how to identify and understand the dynamics of changes in society, as well as, in organization and in the field. It educates physiotherapist about system approach and proven methods of problem solving, basic orientation in applied management issues, prepares them for current tasks to which they will face and cooperate in organizations.
After completing the course, the student is able to: explain the increasing importance of management in the field of physiotherapy, manage the basic principles and methods of management in everyday practice, get training for the management of the physiotherapeutic group. The student will be able within his competencies of physiotherapist to implement all management functions, to recognize the workplace policy and choose an appropriate team work strategy. He will be able to properly use and apply positive managerial work techniques and tactics, will have the prerequisites for the implementation of quality and risk management in the field of physiotherapy.

Active participation in seminars. Seminar paper on the topic of the parts of management activities and their application in the health care institution and its defence.
