Course content
After the third and fourth semesters, the student is able to communicate in basic situations that concern him/her directly, such as school, life in the Czech Republic, Olomouc, work, personal information. The student is proficient in basic physiotherapy communication. In the third semester the student will study lessons 10 to 14 from the book Czech Step by Step and vocabulary related to human body, instructions to the patient, history taking, respiratory physiotherapy from the book Talking Medicine and other study materials. The student will improve his/her knowledge of physiotherapeutic Czech from other materials.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to work with Czech at A2 CEFR level and teach physiotherapy students to communicate with patients in Czech without the help of English. Students learn about topics that concern them, such as everyday life in the Czech Republic, Olomouc, study, travelling, work, etc.
After the third and fourth semesters, the student is able to communicate in basic situations that concern him/her directly, such as school, life in the Czech Republic, Olomouc, work, personal information. The student is proficient in basic physiotherapy communication. In the third semester the student will study lessons 11 to 16 from the book Czech Step by Step and vocabulary related to illness, symptoms of diseases, disease and pain from the book Talking Medicine. The student will improve his/her knowledge of physiotherapeutic Czech from other materials.

completion of Czech language I and II
FYT/PTA04 and FYT/PTB07

Assessment methods and criteria

Active participation in the lessons is required for successful completion of the course (4 absences per semester is allowed, but the student is required to complete the information from the missed lesson.). The student is obliged to inform the teacher of his/her absence. Regular home preparation is required. During the semester the student will take 2-3 Progress tests, which must be passed with a minimum of 65 %. The basic limit to for passing the Credit test is 65 %.
