Course content
Physiology of pregnancy, physiological changes during pregnancy, and their modulation through kinesiotherapy. Kinesiotherapy during pregnancy: methodological principles, contraindications, and practical exercises. Physiotherapy as a preparation for childbirth. Specifics of the postpartum period: methodological principles of kinesiotherapy during the postpartum phase. Scar care. Psychological aspects of pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Etiology of the most common clinical disorders in gynecology encountered in physiotherapy practice. Fundamentals of therapy for gynecological conditions. The total course duration is 27 hours, including 12 contact hours and 15 non-contact hours.

Learning outcomes
The student will become familiar with the physiology of fertility, pregnancy progression, physiological changes during pregnancy, and the possibilities of physical activities. They will learn psychoprophylactic preparation for childbirth, practical applications of kinesiotherapy during pregnancy and the postpartum period. A significant part of the course also includes scar care and examples of therapy for gynecological issues.
Upon completion of the course students will learn the basics of rehabilitation strategies in obstetrics and gynaecology care.
