Course content
Pain as a syndrome, classification and pain models. Chronic pain pathophysiology. Psychosocial stress. Overview of contemporary possibilities in palliative and other therapies in pain syndromes. Kinesiotherapy position and possibilities and complex rehabilitation in dealing with pain.

Learning outcomes
Introduction to the issues of chronic pain with respect to other factors (pain as a syndrome, the pathophysiology of pain, theory of transferred pain, pain therapy possibilities - medication, neuromodulation, neurosurgical approaches, application of psychotherapy).
Upon completion of the course students will be able to use theoretical knowledge and kinesiotherapy to manage pain in specific patients.
