Course content
|
Internet communication will precede the first session to make the students familiar with course requirements; they will be asked to compile a list of works which have personal importance for them and prompted by points to consider they will prepare for the first discussion. 1.meeting: Analyzing works from the point of view of narratology, constructing the story line, sketching the characters, joint screenwriting, dividing the scenes and literary forms among the students; individual work on first drafts 2.meeting: Re-evaluation of initial agreed terms, discussion; individual work 3.meeting: Workshopping students' work, proofreading 4.meeting: Public presentation of the collective artwork

Learning outcomes

The aim is to collectively create an artwork unified in it's story line but narrated in various literary forms of poetry and fiction. The course is held: 6.10. 15:00-17:00 13.10. - 15:00-17:00 20. 10. - 15:00-17:00 22.10. - 15:00-16:00

Assessment methods and criteria

Students will first analyses chosen works from the point of view of narratology on multiple levels. After a joint construction of their story's synopsis and a crude sketching of the characters they will learn basic screenwriting techniques. Every student will choose a number of literary forms and use them to tell his part of the story.
