Course content
|
History and importance of water-resources management, water authorities. Runoff control, biological and agricultural engineering measures in catchment area. River channel reconstruction, storage reservoirs, fishponds, water power, water power plants, flood protection. Water-resources laws.

Learning outcomes
|
The course aims at presenting actual information and procedures from the branch. Major approaches, conceptual and theoretical topics are listed in syllabus.
Orientation in reseach, protection and rational management and development of water resources for national economy, including of flood control protencion, respecting environment. An overview of state administration in water resources management and legislation. Be able to read project documentation.
