Natural as well as man-made causes of losses of genetic pool, local and worlwide. Processes on molecular and genetic level: genetic drift, inbreeding, outbreeding, bottleneck and other effects. Processes on the population level, small populations, range and structure of population as an aspect of the risk of the extinction. Crop and direct destruction of populations and their habitats, indirected reasons of the genetic looses. Lack of food and competition. Hunting influences caused by hunting, limits and management of the hunting. Forms of evidence of endangered species, red data lists. Methods of the genetic pool conservation "in situ" (habitat conservation, energetic subsidy of the populations, supervision, selection, release, transfers) and "ex situ" (rescue breeding and release to wildlife).Management plans and action plans for endangered species in Czech Republic. Species conservation in Czech and European legislation, Natura 2000, CITES, veterinary law.
