Course content
|
Landscape planning: The basic spatial differentiation of the landscape; the primary-secondary-tertiary landscape structure. Functional and spatial configuration of landscape; ecological limits of landuse; environmental strategy of landuse and proposals to the elimination of negative effects. Methodics of landscape planning (LANDEP, USES). Lectures are based on the Czech and international literature and European Landscape Convention. Within practice the project is created on the basis of individual evaluation of selected section of real landscape and in the next phase the creation of optimization proposals is proposed. At the top the two outputs are: the editorial and mapping sections of the project. Student defends it ahead of audit at the close of course.

Learning outcomes
|
The course aims at presenting actual information and procedures from the branch. Major approaches, conceptual and theoretical topics are listed in syllabus.
Students have basic knowledge in landscape planning methods and can evaluate landscape as a complex ecosystem (theoretical principles + application on given landscape segment).
