Course content
|
Evolutionary psychology as a science - origin and development. Principles of Neo-Darwinism. Encefalization - evolution of human brain, evolution of intelligence. Marriage and partner selection - short-time and long-time strategies. Parentage and kin - parent investments, kin altruism. Living in groups - cooperation, reciprocity, social intelligence, status, prestige, swindling, aggression and wars. Language - origin and development, social function of language.

Learning outcomes
|
The course aims at presenting actual information and procedures from the branch. Major approaches, conceptual and theoretical topics are listed in syllabus.

Assessment methods and criteria

Written exam
Report about result of scientific research (paper from international journal) for credit. Level of knowledge of students (within the range of lectures) will verified during exam.
