Course content
1) "Create the idol of God for us" (Ex 32, 1) Sculptures in myths, religions, allegories and symbols 2) Agesander & Polydorós & Athénodóros, Láokoón (42-20 př. Kr.) Famous antique sculptures, the phenomen all ´ antica 3) Nanni di Banco, Quattro Santi Coronati (1413-1415) The early renaissance sculpture and artists of the new generation 4)Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Ponte S. Angelo (1667-1669) Project, realisation and the second live of artefact 5) Franz Xaver Messerschmidt, Charakterové hlavy (1774-1783) Emotions and psychical defects in baroque art

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture
Learning outcomes
The first lecture outlines roles of statues and sculptors in antique mythology and in jewish-christian tradition. Following lectures are based on concrete realisations.
Basic orientation in the topic.
Prerequisites
Immatriculation to the bachelor studies.
