Learning outcomes
Students will become acquainted with significant European personalities (architects, artists and art historians) in the field of heritage conservation during the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Lectures will introduce their approach to heritage conservation in the context of their own architectural work or theory of art. Attention will be also paid to reception of seemingly obsolete concepts in present time.
Understanding of the connections between the past and the present approach in heritage conservation, greater knowledge of crucial theories in heritage conservation in the 19th century, greater competence in interpretating professional texts
