The thesis assignment contains a set of objectives, methods, and work procedures aimed at the proper completion of the thesis task. The assignment is in written form; it specifies the work stages and sets out the basic and recommended literature. Particular emphasis is placed on unedited written sources and on working with art objects and artifacts. The assignment is created by the student in consultation with the thesis supervisor, and the topic may be initiated by either the student or the supervisor. The guarantor may enter the assignment creation process at the request of either party and subsequently supervise the process. The assignment has a fixed structure, which is published online on the website of the Department of Art History, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University. The course is conducted in a form of individual consultations beyond the regular schedule.
