The aim of the course is to comprehensively familiarize students with the agenda of UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage, from the contractual basis in the 1972 Convention, through technical and practical requirements (implementation of the Convention in the field). As a seminar paper, students will attempt to prepare an outline of a nomination file for a monument with its essential requirements: a statement of outstanding universal value with reference to the criteria of outstanding universal value, a comparative study, and a management plan for the monument. Teaching in English will enable international students (Erasmus+) to participate and enrich the course.
