The one-semester lecture series is devoted to selected topics in the history of painting, sculpture and applied art in Europe in the first half of the 20th century. It provides a closer look at the theoretical and artistic contributions of key figures working in major Western-European, German and Bohemian/Czechoslovak centres, as well as an overview of stylistic movements and artistic groups.
