Learning outcomes
|
In the course, students will get acquainted with the main tendencies, trends and strategies of art of the 20th and 21st centuries, its perception and evaluation. Attention will be paid to the contemporary world of art and the circumstances of art production. The goal is to ask questions. These will change according to the current situation. While doing so, the apparatus of contemporary image sciences will be examined.
After completing the course the students will be able to basic orientation in the field of contemporary art. They will get acquainted with the basic concepts and will be able to apply them correctly. Through the exercises, they will also try different approaches to the interpretation and evaluation of a work of art.

professional interest in contemporary art, basic orientation in its main milestones and moments, ability to read professional texts in foreign languages (mainly English)

1/ active participation in the classroom - 80% participation is compulsory 2/ preparation of the assigned tasks for the given term - regular study preparation (reading), written review, abstract 3/ publicly presented and discussed paper Active participation in the semester excursion is a prerequisite for successful completion of the course
