The course deals with the legislative and procedural status of current monument preservation and provides an in-depth presentation of current cases (causes) of monument preservation in the Czech Republic with a territorial or factual selection of topics. The aim is to familiarize students with cases of significant events from the recent past or present and to use them to illustrate the limits of heritage conservation in the Czech Republic, with marginal overlaps into other (especially European) systems of heritage conservation.
