Architecture of Jagiellonian period in Bohemia and Moravia, 9. Sculpture of Jagiellonian period in Bohemia and Moravia, 10. Painting of Jagiellonian period in Bohemia and Moravia, 11. early Renaissance art and architecture during the reign of Ferdinand I Habsbourg (1526-1564), 12. art of High Renaissance in Bohemia and Moravia (1550-1600) - architecture, sculpture and painting.

Learning outcomes |
The aim is to acquaint the students with the main periods of Czech art between 1300-1600 and Italian art of 15th and 16th century. At the beginning of the term the attention will be paid to the Czech art of 14th century during the reign of Luxembourg dynasty. The attention will be also paid to the history of Italian art and architecture in the time of of Renaissance and Mannerism and to the development of Czech art of 15th and 16th century with the emphasis on Hussite art, art of the Jagiellonian period and Renaissance art.
The students obtain the basic knowledge of history of Czech art between 1300-1600 and Italian art of 15th and 16th century. The will be also acquainted with the chosen methodological approaches in the interpretation of art history of late Middle Ages and Renaissance. |

Subject is designated for students of Bachelor study of Art-science studies.

Assessment methods and criteria |
Oral exam, Seminar Work
1. Student has to know the content of the lectures and appropriate literature. 2. Elaboration of the seminary work on chosen topic, concerning the issues discussed in the lectures. Range of the seminary work: 3 pages. |
