Prague Royal Castle Garden, Contexts and Meanings of Mannerist Gardens. 5. Architecture projects of the royal circle - Prague and the royal chamber estate. 6. Spranger and Aachen in the European context. 7. Bishops of Olomouc - patronage and visual culture. 8.-9. Nobility in the second half of the 16th century in Moravia and Silesia - patronage and visual culture. 10. Houses of Slick, Salhauzen and Redern - Patronage and visual culture. 11.-12. Art and visual culture in "Crown" (Royal) cities and vassal towns

Learning outcomes
|
Lectures synthetically deal with visual Art culture of the Renaissance and Mannerism in the Czech lands in the period between the reign of Ferdinand I of Habsburg and the Battle of White Mountain (1527-1620). Besides the Prague of the royal court are comprehensively presented residences and historical monuments of Czech and Moravian noblemen (architecture, sculpture, painting, etc.). Confessional aspects of a culture noblemen elites and elites in royal towns are also reflexted. Individual lectures are devoted to cultural phenomena such as garden culture, doctrinal treatises, contemporary graphics and book culture, etc. Everything is put into the general cultural-historical context.

Student performance, Written exam
A test verifying the knowledge of the presented topics and subject literature from both semesters (the Renaissance and Mannerism in the Czech Lands 1, 2.) Attendance at least 80%.
