Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the interpretation of modern and contemporary art. It pays attention not only to the methodology and way of interpretation of artworks but also to the art exhibitions and art institutions. It will concentrate on contemporary art programs and art criticism as a source of art history. It will use the instruments of critical art history, formulated in the second half of the 20th century. Students will be led to practical skills: writing critical texts and reviews of modern and contemporary art, oral presentation and preparation of studies on a particular subject.
