The aim of the subject is to introduce to students the main periods of the Czech art in the time early and high Middle Ages. The emphasis in the lectures is put on the culture and art in the time of Great Moravia, government of Přemyslid princes and kings and principally on the era of Luxembourg reign, when Prag and the Czech lands became very important artistic centre.
Students of the subject obtain the basic knowledge of development of art and architecture in Bohemia and Moravia between 900-1400. |
