The aim of the course is to expand knowledge in the area of prescription of movement therapy in people with cardiopulmonary dysfunction and in people with musculoskeletal disorders. The course introduces students to the indications and importance of movement therapy in persons with chronic and acute illness. Students are introduced to the various investigative procedures and the interpretation of examination results to indicate targeted movement therapy. The course informs students of the various components of movement therapy so that the student gains a comprehensive knowledge to be able to specify movement therapy. Students are also introduced to the possibilities of monitoring the level of physical activity in persons with musculoskeletal disorders and in persons with cardiopulmonary dysfunction. The course builds on the knowledge gained in previous studies and expands the knowledge of exercise physiology, exercise physiology, movement management and rehabilitation treatment.
