Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach students how to create projects focused on research in the field of physical activity and environmental conditions, as well as to gain an overview of the relationships between different types of environments and physical activity and current global research trends. The whole subject is embedded in theories of behaviour change and ecological models. The course will provide students with information on subjective and objective monitoring techniques used in epidemiological research. Students will gain hands-on experience working with these techniques and verify the development of research design through practical examples. Students will be guided to apply research data to institutional and community practice. Upon completion, students should be able to create a research design in the area of physical activity and environmental conditions with the expectation of impact. Translation of knowledge use into practical applications in the principles of designing new construction towards healthy communities (Building healthy places). Complex themes of society-wide sustainable development embedded in the context of physical activity will allow for broader insight into issues of environmental kinanthropology.
